Infrastructural investments pave the way for economic development which makes the Secretariat's role in supporting innovative projects very critical to the sector's evolution.

Adopting import substitution that hinges on export-oriented industrialization not only improves competitiveness of the economy but also leads to a self-reliant Uganda.
